When the Wii U gets its boxed edition of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD in Japan, consumers will be treated to an extra gorgeous piece of artwork. Cases like what you see below are part of the main reason I prefer physical releases over digital.
If you’ve ever been curious as to what The Wind Waker is known as in Japan, here’s the skinny. ゼルダの伝説 – 風のタクト basically translates to “The Legend of Zelda: Baton of Wind.” Cue NBC and enjoy.
Hopefully the folks responsible for the game’s boxart, say the offices of Nintendo of America, pick something equally epic and memorable. The boxart above captures The Wind Waker perfectly, and it plays well on anyone who has a fond memory of the game.
My nostalgia muscle is twitching just by looking at the case, man.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will hit the Wii U in October of this year.
