Facebook for Android Updated with New Lock Screen Feature

Facebook Home Review-Lock Screen

Facebook for Android was recently updated with a feature that adds a bit of Facebook Home-like functionality, but without the complete takeover. The latest update lets you set your News Feed as the lock screen on your phone, so you can see recent updates at a glance. It’s only supported on a few handsets right now, including the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II, Nexus 4, One X, One X+ and the HTC One.

Facebook also added Facebook Home support for the Galaxy S4 and the Nexus 4. Facebook Home launched in April and while the idea is unique, it basically takes over your entire smartphone and puts Facebook front and center. Considering that the Nexus 4 is a pure Android device, that seems a bit silly to us.

The update is live in Google Play now and also includes a few bug fixes and Chathead support for more phones.
