BlackBerry and Porsche apparently are planning to team up once again for a new handset being currently referred to as the P’9982.

In late 2011 images started circulating of an odd looking BlackBerry handset. It took a few leaks before everyone figured out it was a Porsche designed handset and it was eventually reveled to be called the P’9981. That looked to be the end of the two companies teaming up, but now it appears that the two firms are going to have another go at it with a BB 10 powered phone currently being referred to as the P’9982.

The folks over at Tinhte were the first to come up with the images, while N4BB is the one site saying that it will be called the P’9982. We feel that name may change, however, as the original P’9981 was based off the 9900 series and this handset clearly isn’t as it looks closer to a Z10. Perhaps P’10? Who knows at this point.

No matter what they call it, it’s sure to cost an insane amount. The P’9981 sold for over $2,000, although that did include a sweet BBM ID number that let everyone know you had spent way too much money on an underpowered phone.

We’ll have more on this as it crops up.
