Capcom and WayForward have dished yet another trailer for one of the classic levels from DuckTales Remastered, the gorgeous HD-ification of one of the best 2D platformers to release on the NES.

While the African Mines certainly don’t represent everyone’s favorite set of levels from the classic DuckTales campaign (cough, cough, The Moon, cough, cough), the new trailer shows off how much effort WayForward has been putting into things like dynamic backgrounds. For taking place entirely below the earth, the African Mines levels all appear to be massive, thanks to the ever moving background.

DuckTales Remastered is set to hit the PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC platforms on August 13th, 2013. Xbox 360 gamers will see it on September 11th, 2013. Stay tuned for more. I’m extremely excited to sit down and play through DuckTales again in HD. I’m a bit nervous that the classic platforming I remember hasn’t held up as well as I’d hope; but, if any developer can make that happen today, it’s WayForward.
