With just one day left until Motorola unveils the Moto X we’ve got yet another leaked part from the handset to show you, leaving the distinct possibility that at tomorrow’s big event there will be nothing new left to reveal. Today, GSM Insider has uncovered a photo of the device’s SIM tray and Nano-SIM card originally leaked on Chinese online forum PhoneHK.
The big news here is that the Moto X will allegedly hold a removable Nano-SIM card, which is also found in the iPhone 5 though a number of premium Android handsets including the Galaxy S4 and HTC One still hold a microSIM. The news makes sense though, since Motorola’s newly announced line of DROID smartphones also pack Nano-SIM cards. Unfortunately, based on this leaked image it doesn’t look like the Moto X will feature the same design combining the SIM tray and volume rocker into one component that we saw in the new DROIDs.
The Moto X is expected to come equipped with a 4.5-inch 720p display, a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and 2GB of RAM. The customizable handset will likely run Android 4.3 along with a few additional features including enhanced voice-activated Google Now integration and a special camera UI.
Motorola is set to unveil the Moto X at a press event in New York tomorrow, and rumor has it the handset may go on sale that same day. TechnoBuffalo will be there to provide you with coverage of the big announcement.
