T-Mobile announced today that LG’s low-cost Optimus F3 smartphone will launch on Aug. 7. The 4-inch handset will be the “UnCarrier‘s” cheapest Android device yet, retailing for $0 down followed by 24 monthly payments of $10 each.
The Optimus F3 comes equipped with a 4-inch IPS display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, NFC, a 2,460mAh battery, a rear 5-megapixel camera and a front-facing VGA shooter. The handset runs Android 4.1.2 with LG’s own software and features on top, including VuTalk3, QuickMemo, QSlide and more.
The Optimus F3 isn’t exactly a phone to call home about, but if you’re on a budget it’s a decent option. Most consumers might want to check out some of T-Mobile’s more powerful Android devices, such as the Galaxy S4 or HTC One, however.
