It’s (pretty much) a forgone conclusion Verizon is getting the HTC One, it’s just a matter of when. A report from earlier this month suggested we might see it on Aug. 1, only for that to be shot down by a separate claim saying the device won’t launch until Aug. 15, a few weeks later. Whatever the case may be, Verizon isn’t shying away from teasing its customers with an early glimpse of the device.
The carrier on Wednesday tweeted out a picture with a caption highlighting its Share Everything plan. And in that picture, along with the Galaxy Camera and several other Android devices, right there in the top left corner of the red house, is what looks to be an HTC One. That familiar HTC logo is right there at the bottom, while the build is unmistakable among the competition. And—this can’t be real—there’s no overt Verizon logo on the front.
Seeing as Verizon is basically taunting consumers, it’s likely we’ll see a formal announcement any day now. The device originally launched all the way back in March, yet it’s still one of the hottest devices available—it could wind up being in the top three this year. We’ll have to keep a closer eye on the carrier’s social media habits to see if any more information is shared.
