If you missed out on Google’s initial Glass roll-out program, you might want to cozy up with a friend who already owns the augmented reality glasses. The company said recently that anyone who is already a member of the Google Glass Explorer program can now invite a single friend to purchase a pair at full cost.

“We love sharing glass with our friends, because adventures through Glass are more fun with others,” Google said in an email to its Explorer members. “Here’s your chance to invite one friend into the Glass Explorer Program.” Google Glass isn’t cheap by any means – a single set costs $1,500 right now – so it’s still only going to be attractive to tech enthusiasts or developers.

Google requires that new members are at least 18 years of age, can pick up the set of Google Glass in New York, Los Angeles or San Francisco, and are U.S. residents. Hopefully it looks like this by the time the rest of us can buy it.
