If you’re looking for a new 7-inch tablet, but don’t feel like shelling out upwards of $229 for the refreshed Nexus 7, then we’ve got the deal for you. Head over to Staples now where you can grab a second generation Kindle Fire, which retails at $159, for just $99.

First navigate Staples website or straight to the product listing via the source link below. You should see $30 dollars being knocked off the price automatically in Instant Savings. The price will be listed at $129 at this point, so click Add to Cart. The rest of the discount won’t kick until right before you pay so head over to the checkout. Click on Add/Edit Coupons, and type in “41178” for an extra $30 off.

The coupon code will work on any one product, so you don’t have to use it on a new Kindle, though it does expire on July 28. The $30 in Instant Savings is specific to the 8GB Kindle Fire, and expires on July 27. You’ve still got a few days to make a decision though.

The 7-inch Kindle Fire comes equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, a 1024 x 600-pixel display at 169ppi, 5.5GB of free storage, and Amazon’s own UI built on top of Android OS. To check out your other options take a look at our back-to-school mini tablet guide.
