New Nexus 7 with Android 4.3 Pre-Orders Live from Best Buy Already

Wow, this is some stellar news to wake up to. Best Buy is already accepting pre-orders for the new Nexus 7, both the 16GB and 32GB models, even though Google hasn’t even announced the tablet yet. According to Best Buy’s site it runs a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and sports 2GB of RAM, an Adreno 320GPU, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 5-megapixel rear camera, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean – also unannounced – and measures 4.5-inches x 7.9-inches x 0.3 – inches.

The original Nexus 7 has 1GB of RAM, lacked a rear-facing camera and had a quad-core Tegra 3 processor. It measures 4.72-inches x 7.81 inches x 0.41 inches, which means the new model is thinner and longer than the original.

We’re not sure exactly what Android 4.3 offers yet, but Google is holding a breakfast later today where we hope to hear more. The 16GB new Nexus 7 can be pre-ordered for $229.99 while the 32GB option is available for $269.99. Best Buy does not provide an estimated ship date but says it’s coming to stores soon. Recent rumors suggest it will be available on July 30.
