Chromecast Available from Google Play Now for $35

chromecast

Google’s Chromecast, which was just announced minutes ago, is already available from Google Play. It first said the device would ship in 1-2 days, though demand seems to be catching up with supply. The site adjusted to shipping by August 2 and now says it will ship by August 7. It’s available for just $35 and that includes three free months of Netflix streaming.

The Chromecast allow you to send content from your phone to your TV using an HDMI port. You can stream YouTube videos, Netflix, Google Play Movies, music and more already, though through the company’s newly announced SDK developers will be able to add code to apps for additional support. We hope that means games down the line.

The Chromecast can be used with iOS, Windows, OS X and Android devices. On computers, you’ll be able to stream content from a Chrome Web browser.
