Verizon Wireless officially took the wraps off of the Motorola DROID Ultra on Tuesday, a new mid-range smartphone that will be available in Verizon Wireless stores for $199 on August 20.

The DROID Ultra boasts a super-thin 7.18 mm design and a 5-inch display. Like the rest of the new DROID family it comes equipped with a 10-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a dual-core 1.7GHz X8 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a battery promising 24 hours of usage. The Ultra also comes packed with a number of features we’ve already seen leaked for the Moto X, including Google Now and the ability to launch the camera by twisting your wrist while holding the phone. Verizon has also included its own command center hub and ZAP, a sharing feature that lets you send content to nearby friends through the cloud.
