Verizon Wireless and Motorola officially revealed the DROID Mini on Tuesday, a new Android smartphone that will be available on August 20 for $99 with a new two-year contract. The device is smaller than the DROID Maxx and the DROID Ultra, both also unveiled today, but should be ideal for everyone looking for a smaller smartphone that’s easy to control with a single hand.

The DROID Mini is equipped with a 4.3-inch display with a 720p resolution, a 10-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor with Motorola’s “X8” technology, which apparently mimics 8-cores and 2GB of RAM.

We’ll be bringing you a hands-on with the device soon, stay tuned.
