BlackBerry will attempt to keep up in the smartphone race by releasing a bigger all-touch handset, known as the A10. We’ve seen the device quietly pop up a few times before, but these are perhaps the best pictures of the device yet. Without straying too far from the design BlackBerry introduced in the Z10, the company’s larger A10 looks more refined, made specifically to highlight the company’s BlackBerry 10 OS on a nice big screen.
There’s not much to discern from the pictures themselves. Everything looks decidedly rounded, with a small strip of gray (plastic?) accenting the bottom. On the rear, BlackBerry is implementing a textured look that should make gripping the handset a cinch—it may be removable according to these leaked photos.
Otherwise, it’s a larger BlackBerry handset; internal specifications are still largely unknown, though we have heard it might come equipped with a 5-inch Super AMOLED 720p display, a dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera. That might not go toe-to-toe with some of today’s most recognizable flagships, but it still sounds like a solid BlackBerry device nonetheless.
