Best Buy may be bringing back its popular iPad trade-in program in an effort to finish of its fiscal quarter with strong sales, 9to5Mac reports. The consumer electronics retail chain will offer a $200 gift card towards an iPad 4 with Retina Display when you trade-in an old iPad starting tomorrow, July 24. The special runs through August 3.
The upcoming promotion is in-store only and applies to the 16GB Wi-Fi model, which generally costs $499.99. Best Buy will accept most iPad models, excluding the iPad Mini and first-generation full-sized iPad. The returned tablet must also be in working condition, which excludes any devices with a cracked screen or water damage.
The same iPad trade-in program debuted earlier this month and lasted just two days, running July 12 and 13. A similar promotion was previously offered at Best Buy when the chain offered a “free” 16GB iPhone by letting customers trade in old iPhones for a $200 gift cards toward the new purchase.
