Nearly 14 Minutes of Open World Gameplay for Assassin’s Creed IV

Avast, me hearties! Ubisoft has released a brand new gameplay clip for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. While that bit isn’t all that exciting, the gameplay clip actually features nearly 14 minutes’ worth of open world, uncut footage.

A pirate’s life for me, indeed.

I won’t lie to ye lads and lasses, after the sloppy mess that was Assassin’s Creed III, my interest in this whole franchise has waned quite a bit. The fact that the Assassin’s Creed IV live demo froze and chopped during Sony’s E3 presentation helped further my distrust.

Still, no matter how rehearsed and polished the gameplay video at the top of this post is, it’s nice to see a succinct and consisently realized version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in motion.

I’m still worried, mind you, I’m just a little more excited for the game than I was roughly 13 minutes and 51 seconds ago.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is set to drop for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC platforms on Oct. 29, 2013. It’s also set to hit the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at launch. We’ll have more on the game as it comes.
