Add Money to Your Wii U Account, Nintendo Will Add More

Wii U Promotional Credit

From now until July 28th (this coming Sunday), Nintendo is offering a special deal for Wii U owners who peruse the Wii U’s Nintendo eShop.

If you deposit $50 into your account, Nintendo will add $5. Even better, if you drop $100, Nintendo will add in $10. It’s essentially a 10 percent addition to the intent to purchase future games.

The way I see it, if you’re buying new games for your Wii U and don’t mind choosing digital over physical goods, this is a no-brainer. Pikmin 3 will be out in a matter of weeks, and it’s a game almost all Wii U owners will buy. Put the money that is going towards Pikmin 3 in your account before July 28th (again, this coming Sunday) and Nintendo will essentially hand you free money.

The money will be made available to you by August 4th.

If you plan to spend $50 on Wii U games between now and the end of the year, take advantage of this deal. Of course, that means you’d have to have the money on hand now and not later. That’s the sticking point for me.

Will you be taking part in this promotion? Or, would you rather drop the cash on a physical game instead?
