A media invitation sent out for LG’s G2 press event in New York City on Aug. 7 features a stylized image of the flagship handset highlighting the volume control and power button locations on the back of the device. The unique design was previously exposed in leaked photos and video as well as an interview published by The Korea Herald.
“To me, you are perfect,” reads the invitation. “Be among the first in the world to experience the all-new LG G2. Come see how we are learning from you.” We’re not sure anyone has been asking for button placement on the back of their smartphones. It’s certainly an interesting idea, but we’re still not sold on how well it will work in practice.
The LG G2 is expected to come quipped with a 5.2-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera. TechnoBuffalo will be attending the Aug. 7 press event and reporting live. Stay tuned for additional information.
