T-Mobile on Wednesday said its 4G LTE network now reaches over 157 million people across the U.S., highlighting an incredible growth over the past several months. As of now, the carrier’s high-speed network is available across 116 metropolitan areas; by the end of the year T-Mobile hopes to reach 200 million people in more than 200 big markets.

T-Mobile has been making some big moves lately, announcing a big new Uncarrier initiative along with availability of the iPhone 5, which has quickly become the carrier’s most popular handset. In addition to announcing stats for its LTE network, T-Mobile also introduced two new handsets that can take advantage of the faster speeds: Sony Xperia Z and Nokia Lumia 925.
