Instagram on Wednesday added easy embedding for Instagram on the Web. Starting today, there’s a nifty little share button that allows users to easily embed photos and videos to their blog or website. It’s not just the photos or video that’s being shared either; the person’s username is also shared, as is the amount of likes and comments associated with that particular photo or video.
Along with the Web embed announcement, Instagram reiterated its stance on content ownership. “You own your photos and videos, and we want to make sure that’s understood no matter where your content appears,” Instagram said. “Everyone will clearly see that your content belongs to you.” Instagram also said embed codes are only available to those whose photos and videos are public.
