Deus Ex: The Fall will be launching on iOS this Thursday to already mixed opinions.
Square Enix has promised a full Deus Ex experience, but fans are approaching with caution because most wanted a straight up sequel to the fan favorite Deus Ex: Human Revolution. A mobile-only spin-off which Square Enix has mentioned supporting and continuing for quite some time is not what they had in mind.
For what it’s worth, the game does look great for a mobile game, even if it lacks the extra layer of polish you might find in high end HD gaming.
Still, the numbers don’t add up for a sequel soon. The game enjoys a loud fan base, but sales figures did not add up to what Square Enix had been hoping for.
Deus Ex: The Fall follows Ben Saxon, a former British SAS agent who turned mercenary for the chance to augment his body. It is being produced by Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded developer N-Fusion in collaboration with the first game’s team at Eidos Montreal.
Anybody out there looking to play it?
