Yesterday Motorola released the first advertisement for the Moto X, a smartphone that it promises can be customized and “designed by you” and that will be assembled in the USA. Today, the company continued its marketing efforts by launching a new sign-up page for the smartphone.
“It’s also the first smartphone that you can design yourself,” the company says. “Because today you should have the freedom to design the things in your life to be as unique as you are.” Motorola also says that this is “just the beginning” and that it will hire 2,000 new employees for a plant in Ft. Worth, Texas where it will begin manufacturing the phones.
Anyone aged 16 years or older who is interested in new information about the Moto X can sign up. We imagine it will launch across various U.S. carriers, and have even speculated what the company means when it says “designed by you.” We expect to hear a lot more about the Moto X in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
