Gears of War Producer Heads to BioWare to Work on Mass Effect

Mass Effect

The Senior Producer of Gears of War: Judgment , Chris Wynn, has left Epic Games and made his way over to BioWare. He is now Senior Development Director of the new Mass Effect game in the works. A promotion? I’ll let you decide.

Wynn had only been at Epic Games for under a year, but he worked with the Gears of War through Microsoft for two years. His shift to BioWare marks the second time he finds himself under the EA banner as he held a position as Development Director at EA Sports.

His departure also leaves another huge gaping hole in the ranks of Epic Games, who have lost six major figures including Design Director Cliff Bleszinski.

Nothing is really known about the upcoming Mass Effect game other than it will run on Frostbite 3, like all other EA games, and Executive Producer Casey Hudson is once again filling his role for the series.

Who knows what Wynn will bring to the series, but I think we can all agree that Mass Effect does not need the same supercharged machismo found in his previous place of employment. Best of luck to him, and we all hope to see more Mass Effect soon.
