We first heard of the DROID RAZR Ultra and the RAZR M Ultra at the end of June, and now Motorola’s site makes mention of the “DROID Ultra” yet again. The site doesn’t say much about the phone, in fact the specs seem to be the originals from the RAZR M, but it does note that the device will be “available in a bunch of glossy colors,” and that the “high-grade DuPont™ Kevlar body proves you can be even thinner and still be tough as steel.”
The DROID” part of the name is a clear signal that the device may be headed to Verizon soon, since that trademark is licensed by Verizon Wireless. Motorola’s site suggests that the “RAZR” part of the name could be dropped for now, however.
We don’t know when the device will finally see the light of day, but we’re guessing this is a clear sign that we don’t have much longer to wait.
