Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Spotted on Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition

Leaked screenshots of the rumored Android 4.3 OS running on a new Galaxy S4 Google Play edition have surfaced online, confirming what we all expected but hoped wasn’t true: the next update to Google’s mobile OS is still Jelly Bean.

The alleged Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS will have to wait, for now we’re stuck with an incremental update to the current Jelly Bean software. Sammobile has gotten its hands on a few screenshots of the updated UI, allegedly taken on a new stock Android version of Samsung’s Galaxy S4. One photo confirms that the handset is running the new software, while a second shows a smiling jelly bean and a third appears to reveal an updated camera app.

Google has yet to release Android 4.3 to the public or even confirm if it will be a Jelly Bean update or an entirely new dessert, but we expect the upcoming update to be placeholder until Mountain View rolls out its next big software update later this year.
