One of the more anticipated titles this year—across any console or generation—is PopCap Games’ Plants Vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time. Unfortunately, the game, which was originally slated for a July 18 release, has been pushed back to later this summer—PopCap said more details will come soon about an exact release date. According to IGN, the developer wants to ensure the game is up to the high standards fans expect.
The delay apparently won’t delay “the sequence of platforms in which we release the game,” PopCap said, so iOS will still the game first, with others to follow, including outside of mobile. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the sequel to what’s still one of the more beloved tower defense games available. It’s About Time, the name attached to the title, factors in a lot of ways here. Let’s hope it doesn’t continue to play on more delays going forward.
