Samsung will offer the Galaxy S4 in five new colors (Blue Arctic, Purple Mirage, Red Aurora, Brown Autumn and Pink Twilight), the company announced during a press event in London on Thursday where it also unveiled the Galaxy NX smart-camera, two new ATIV Windows tablets, and demonstrated the Galaxy S4 Mini, Active and Zoom variants.
The new colors represent a big expansion in color options for the Galaxy S4, which currently comes in just Black Frost and Arctic White with a red model available exclusively for AT&T customers. Unfortunately, Samsung did not reveal when the new Galaxy S4 colors will hit the market or whether any will be exclusive to specific carriers or regions.
Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone was announced earlier this year in March at a press event in New York. The handset features a 5-inch 1920 x 1080-pixel Super AMOLED display, runs Android 4.2.2, and is powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core processor. It also sports 2GB of RAM, 16GB to 64GB of storage with a microSD card slot for additional storage, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, NFC, a 2,600mAh battery and an IR blaster.
