We’re largely expecting the Galaxy Note III to make its first appearance in September during IFA, but early leaks suggest that Samsung is well on its way to creating the smartphone. A Twitter user named PunkPanda recently leaked an image to G4Games that is allegedly a photo of the device in question, though it looks very much like a dummy unit to us – the screen has a plastic, almost dead look to it. Another image of the Note III leaked earlier this month and it appeared to have a 6-inch screen.
Still, the tipster is the same person who leaked an early image of the Galaxy S4 mini, so we can’t write it off entirely. The screen definitely looks massive and could indeed be larger than the 5.5-inch display on the Galaxy Note II. We’re expecting the phone will have a 1080p resolution, a first for Samsung’s Note family, and will also launch with Qualcomm’s super fast Snapdragon 800 processor.
Again, we think the Note III will probably debut at IFA in Berlin in September, when Samsung typically reveals the phone, though it’s possible we’ll see it earlier.
