Bill-NyeThe bow tie, the wry look, the mad knowledge that oozes out of his every pore. Who doesn’t love Bill Nye the Science Guy? And now you can have him in your pocket, ready to thrill (and enlighten) those kiddies, thanks to his brand-new mobile app.

To commemorate 20 years of raining facts on TV audiences via his Emmy Award-winning show, Nye teamed up with Disney Publishing to launch an iOS app that’s chock full of science-y goodness for children ages 4 and up. He’s the master of demystifying things, and likewise, his app tackles everything from the Solar System to static electricity and space exploration.

Exclusive access to Bill’s lab is only granted once users give a “fingerprint ID.”

Once inside, they can:

· Conduct offline experiments at home using instructions found in the app’s Book of DIY Experiments
· Dig to the center of the Earth alongside Bill’s dog
· Explore Bill’s desk drawer – you never know what may be lurking!
· Take photos & learn fun facts surrounding the planets, periodic table of elements and more!

The Bill Nye The Science Guy app also features a couple of games and some video clips from select episodes of the TV show. Young kids — and maybe even some older ones who love that Science Guy — will adore this fun, wacky and creative approach to science education.
