Sony Xperia Z Will Be T-Mobile Exclusive in U.S.

T-Mobile announced Tuesday morning that the Sony Xperia Z will be exclusive to its network in the United States. The phone will be available with T-Mobile’s no contract Simple Choice plans, though the carrier did not announce a price.

We recently reviewed the Xperia Z, which is water and dust resistant, and generally enjoyed our experience with the phone but felt that it fell behind other high-end smartphones such as the HTC One and the Galaxy S4. The Xperia Z is equipped with a 5-inch 1920 x 1080-pixel HD display, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and more.

T-Mobile didn’t provide a launch date but said that the device will be available in the coming weeks.
