Another batch of leaked iPhone 5S photos have hit the Internet, this time revealing the upcoming handset’s alleged logic board. The shots are courtesy of Japanese parts company Moumantai and suggest that the new iPhone may feature a redesigned, larger processor than the current A6 chip.
Although the chip isn’t attached to the pictured component, Electronista argues based on the layout of the components chips, circuitry and holes this is likely the A6 successor, meaning the next iPhone will be significantly more powerful under the hood, even if it looks the same from the outside.
The leaked logic board is the just the latest in a steady stream of alleged iPhone 5S components we’ve seen in the past few weeks. Earlier in June we got a peek at what looks like the iPhone 5S frame pictured on Foxconn’s assembly line, and last week we saw photos of the iPhone 5S’ loudspeaker, dock connector and headphone jack.
