BlackBerry currently has three BlackBerry 10 devices, including the Z10 and the Q10 which are already on the market. The Q5, which was introduced during BlackBerry Live, will launch in the coming months. However, a new DigiTimes report suggests that BlackBerry is moving full steam ahead and will launch three to four new devices during the second half of this year.
The site didn’t reveal the model numbers for the new devices, or any additional information on the phones, but said that Wistron will build two of the smartphones and that it will also receive 60 percent of all BlackBerry orders for the year. DigiTimes said BlackBerry has also been shipping about one million combined units of the Z10 and the Q10 per month.
DigiTimes isn’t always correct with its reporting but we do expect BlackBerry to keep pumping out handsets, it won’t be enough to sit still as competitors such as Samsung release new phones seemingly every month.
