One of the most confusing elements of any E3, but most especially this year’s, is discerning which games from which conferences are coming to which platforms. When we saw Mad Max at Sony’s show, the instant assumption was that Avalanche’s new game is heading directly and exclusively to PlayStation 4.

According to a later report, however, Warner Bros. has confirmed that the open-world game will be heading to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in addition to the PlayStation 4.

Avalanche’s previous fan-favorite effort, Just Cause 2, hit PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, so the team is familiar with development on the current generation of consoles and with multiplatform development. We’re hoping that the next-gen versions have something impressive to offer over the current generation, though.
