HTC has sent out an invitation to the press announcing a a special event on June 19 in Taiwan that will focus on the Butterfly S and Desire 600 handsets. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has already confirmed the Desire 600, but the Butterfly S is still just a rumor. A photograph of HTC’s press invitation first surfaced on Sogi, a Taiwan-based tech news site, which also listed specs for both devices.
Samsung already officially announced the HTC Desire 600, releasing photos and specs of the handset. The dual SIM device features a 4.5-inch Super LCD2 display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, Spandragon 200 1.2 GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The handset also sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
The HTC Butterfly S, a follow-up to the original 5-inch Butterfly handset, is rumored to feature a larger capacity battery, microSD slot, Ultrapixel camera, 5-inch display and a more powerful CPU than the HTC One.
