What Lies Below Announced, Roguelike-style Gameplay

From Capybara Games, one of the teams behind Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery, comes What Lies Below, marking what is likely the first time the word “roguelike” has been uttered in a massive press conference.

Roguelike games are a classic style of, typically overhead, brutal gameplay that revolves around permanent death and often fast games.

While it was one of the lower key announcements, seeing a game like this appear at Microsoft’s conference is encouraging regarding the console maker’s support of smaller developers.
