Apple just provided a sneak peak of the new Mac Pro during WWDC 2013. It will offer twice the performance of the previous generation, the fastest memory (1866MHz DDR 3 with 16GBps bandwidth), flash storage based on PCIe with 1.25GBps reads and 1GBps writes and is 10x faster than any hard drive Apple has added to a computer before. It’s also equipped with Thunderbolt 2. It has dual-workstation GPUs with 2.5x the graphics performance of the last generation, and they support 4K displays across multiple streams (up to three). It will launch later this year and is assembled in the United States.
