One of the first announcements from Microsoft’s show today was a redesign of the Xbox 360. Available today, the new 360s, both 4GB and 250GB ($199 and $299 respectively) will retail for the same price as they do now.

The big news with this wasn’t the system itself so much as the details of the continued commitment to the system. Dark Souls, Grand Theft Auto V, World of Tanks, and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood are all coming to 360 this year.

In an effort to make Xbox Live Gold more appealing, Microsoft will also be giving out two free Xbox 360 games per month until the release of Xbox One, starting with Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed II. Also, Fable III is available for free right now on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
