Apple iTunes Radio Streaming Music Service Announced

Apple announced iTunes Radio during WWDC 2013. Inside the Music application users will see a new “iTunes Radio” option with various featured stations, your own stations and more. Once you select a station it will begin streaming music from the cloud. Users can share music with friends or create a new station based on a specific artist or song, skip through various tunes and more. iTunes Radio also allows you to preview and buy tracks right from the station.

It’s built into iOS 7 and works on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It will also work on iTunes on the Mac or PC or from an Apple TV unit. It’s free with ads but iTunes Match subscribers are completely free.

iTunes Radio will launch in the U.S. first and will launch in other countries over time.
