Apple AirPort Extreme, AirPort Time Capsule Refreshed

Apple Airport Extreme Base Station 2013 - Press

Apple refreshed its AirPort Extreme and AirPort Time Capsule devices during WWDC 2013. The company completely changed the design into a tower-like form factor so that the antennas can provide a better signal to wireless devices. Both support 802.11ac Wi-Fi networks and transmit in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies at the same time, support wireless printing, can easily be setup with iOS or OS X and more.

The AirPort Time Capsule offers 2TB or 3TB or storage and provides automatic wireless backup over its 802.11ac Wi-Fi connection.

The AirPort Extreme retails for $199. The 2TB AirPort Time Capsule will set you back $299 and the 3TB model retails for $399. All devices are available from Apple’s online store now.
