Amazon rolled out an update for the AmazonFresh app on Android today after expanding its fresh food delivery service to Los Angeles. The online service, which is similar to the NY-based FreshDirect, launched in Seattle a few months ago.
AmazonFresh allows users to order both fresh and packaged food, as well as other products including books, cameras and tools online and choose a time over the next few days when the products will be shipped to them. Amazon currently offers about 500,000 products through AmazonFresh.
Although Amazon’s revamped AmazonFresh Android app promises a new look and feel, it’s pretty much the same thing with a new color scheme and a few new features. The food-delivery service is expected to expand to San Francisco later this year
