Baldur’s Gate Remade Entirely in the Neverwinter Nights 2 Engine

Fans of classic PC RPGs will get a kick out of this one. Baldur’s Gate has been remade from the ground up through extensive modding with the Neverwinter Nights 2 engine. The creators, BGR Team, have the Baldur’s Gate Reloaded mod available for download at

Baldur’s Gate is one of the defining games to use the legendary Infinity Engine. At the turn of the millennium, BioWare and Black Isle Studios released a slew of excellent PC RPGs which are thought to have revived the fading genre using this Dungeons & Dragon‘s based engine.

It will be fascinating to see Baldur’s Gate in an entirely new fashion, completely re-imagined from 15 years of engrained memories. Like most fans, only one question now lingers on my mind. When is this happening for Shadows of Amn?

Be careful though. This is different from the Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition released by Overhaul Games last year. That is a separate product which is very much worth your time also.

To play Baldur’s Gate Reloaded, you will need to have Neverwinter Nights 2 and all of the expansion packs installed.
