Photos of the long-rumored HTC One mini, also known as the M4, have leaked online, seemingly confirming that the upcoming handset is a mid-range version of the HTC One with a 4.3-inch screen. Estonian website Delfi has a posted a series of pictures of the HTC One mini, including several comparing the smartphone to its big brother.
The most obvious difference between the two HTC handsets may be the smaller screen size between the 4.7-inch 1080p HTC One and the 4.3-inch 720p One mini, but the still-unconfirmed device is also expected to feature 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a dual-core processor and a similar (though less powerful) Ultrapixel camera. The gallery suggests the phone will launch with Sense 4 instead of Sense 5, though, which is a bit of a bummer. Perhaps this is just a pre-production unit.
HTC appears to banking its future on the success of the HTC One and now the HTC One mini, hoping that the well-reviewed smartphone can keep the company afloat amid a sea of bad news that includes a steady stream of departing executives and decreased profits.
There’s no set release date or price for the leaked handset, but we expect it to cost less than the HTC One and to launch in the coming months.
