T-Mobile is now selling Samsung’s Galaxy S III with out-of-the-box LTE support for just $550 or $70 down followed a payment of $20 per month for two years. Of course, the S III is a bit outdated considering that the newer Galaxy S4 is available from T-Mobile for $629; but if you’re looking for a cheaper Android smartphone with strong specs, great features and LTE speeds this might be the deal for you.
As a refresher, the Galaxy S III launched last year with a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera and a 2,100 mAh battery. It launched with Android Ice Cream Sandwich but now runs Jelly Bean.
The original didn’t support T-Mobile’s new 4G LTE network however, as the Galaxy Note II did, so this is just a slight refresh from the model that launched last year.
