Square Enix has released a very short teaser trailer for Deus Ex: The Fall. The game is scheduled for a full reveal this Wednesday on June 5th.
Deus Ex: The Fall is the rumored follow-up to 2011’s first-person shooter RPG hybird, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The series has enjoyed a cult status after the original game was panned upon release only to be re-evaluated years later as way ahead of its time.
Square Enix obtained the rights when it purchased Eidos and has been trying hard to turn this into its hit shooter series. The deep RPG mechanics have kept it relatively inaccessible to a mass market, though.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution followed the story of super agent Adam Jensen and his bionic implants. It was released to critical acclaim, but sales came up shorter than Square Enix had hoped.
Hopefully, Deus Ex: The Fall will be able to overcome the barrier and be a success. Check out more on the game when it is officially revealed this Wednesday.
