Fresh off the Xbox One unveiling Microsoft clearly isn’t afraid to pull any punches. The company already released a commercial attacking the iPad and Siri and now in a second ad Microsoft takes a shot another of their biggest competitors in the mobile market: Samsung and the pricy Galaxy S4.
The commercial focuses on the price disparity between unlocked versions of the Galaxy S4 ($750) and the Nokia Lumia 521($149), noting that with the $600 you’ll save on the Windows phone you could also pick up 6GB Micro SD card, 3-month subscription to Xbox Music, some Monster earbuds, and to top it all off an Asus VivoBook X202E touchscreen notebook.
Microsoft appears to making a decent point, until you consider the fact that most people buy their smartphones on contract, which drops the Galaxy S4’s price down from $750 to $200. Plus there’s the simple fact that Samsung’s handset features a bigger screen, stronger processor and more powerful camera than Nokia’s device. You can’t blame Microsoft for trying though.
