Nokia EOS 41

The long-rumored Nokia EOS Windows Phone 8 device may finally be in sight. According to Windows Phone Central the handset is in early testing at AT&T, and could hit the market “later this summer.”

WP Central also notes that the EOS is now being referred to as Elvis within Nokia in order to keep the model number a secret, and offers up a list of specs and features “by way of numerous trusted sources” who have allegedly seen the device. Nokia’s handset will reportedly sport a 41-megapixel PureView camera with a “Nokia Pro Mode” for deeper controls, an option that takes two photos at once (a 35-megapixel picture to save and a 5-megapixel photo to share online) and a Xenon flash. We’re also expecting Nokia’s Amber software.

The rest of the Nokia EOS’ rumored specs include 32GB of internal memory, a 4.5-inch OLED Screen with a 1280 x 760-pixel resolution, an FM radio and a yellow polycarbonate option. The device will be about 1mm thinner than the Lumia 920 but will have a “big camera hump” with tapered edges, which reminds us of the 808 PureView. Hopefully we hear more about the device soon.
