Killer is Dead Trailers Show Opposing Sides of Gameplay

Two brand new trailers have hit the interwebs for Killer is Dead, the upcoming hack ‘n slash title from Grasshopper Manufacture and Goichi Suda (“Suda 51”). The first trailer is action heavy and focuses on the combat in this wild game.

This second trailer is a bit more adult oriented. Part of the time in Killer is Dead, players take on the role of a crazy assassin. At other times, you’re a gigolo. Yes, seriously.

The Japanese text that checks in at around the 45 second mark essentially reads “from here on out is adult time.” So, there’s that.

If you’ve played any of Suda 51’s games, you know they are ridiculous. Hyper-stylized, oversexed and packed with absurd plot beats and onscreen mayhem, these titles are the epitome of bizarre and amazing in today’s gaming scene.

It’s not for everyone, but I know I’ll check it out for sure. Killer is Dead will sell for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 starting August 27th, 2013.
