Apple has always been proud about its environmental record, and now it’s out to show it by getting the right people to oversee its practices.
At the D11 Conference, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the former administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Lisa Jackson, will be joining Apple.
“Apple is the first to eliminate all toxins in products. We ship the most efficient products. We own the largest solar farm of any non-utility firm,” Tim Cook stated, speaking about Apple’s environmental record. “Lisa Jackson is joining Apple. She ran the EPA for the last four years. She will run environmental duties.”
Lisa Jackson ran the EPA for four years before stepping down from her post in January.
