Samsung has announced an event for June 20 in London that will see the introduction of new Galaxy and ATIV devices at the same time. Typically Samsung keeps events to just one new device unless it’s a conference such as CES, so this is definitely something a tad unusual.
On the Galaxy front of what might be unveiled, it seems like a pretty safe guess that we’ll see the Galaxy S4 Mini, especially since Samsung can’t seem to stop spoiling that device itself. If it’s anything beyond that it is a bit of a mystery. We’re also awaiting the announcements of additional S4 variants such as the Galaxy S4 Active, so expect to see an onslaught of phones with “S4” in their names.
The ATIV line is Samsung’s ventures into the Windows Phone space, but we haven’t heard much from them on this operating system as of late. Right now it is anyone’s guess as to what we will see when it comes to new devices, but seeing as Nokia pretty much has a lock in this space, it will need to be something pretty special to gain any traction.
