HTC hasn’t come out publicly to state that the HTC First was a failure, but all of the signs are there. In a recent report an unnamed employee said the device was a “disaster” and AT&T dropped the price of the device from $99 to 99 cents in less than a month. As a result of the phone’s failure here in the U.S., Facebook and HTC are reportedly canceling U.K. launch plans.

According to U.K carrier Everything Everywhere, customer feedback is to blame. “Facebook has decided to focus on adding new customization features to Facebook Home over the coming months,” EE said. “While they are working to make a better Facebook Home experience, they have recommended holding off launching the HTC First in the UK, and so we will shortly be contacting those who registered their interest with us to let them know of this decision.”

Everything Everywhere says that it will continue to build its relationship with Facebook, but it sounds like U.K fans won’t be able to enjoy one. TechnoBuffalo contacted HTC for an official comment on the situation but we have not yet heard back.
